December marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Scunthorpe as Imaginarium 1876 opens its doors in the Elizabeth Quarter building.

Soft Opening – From Wednesday 3 December

Imaginarium 1876 will begin with a soft opening on Wednesday 3 December, focusing on daytime service throughout the festive period. This allows the team to settle into the brand-new space, refine the kitchen and service flow, and make sure every detail meets the standard guests already love at the Barton venue.

During this soft-launch phase, the venue will offer breakfast  7:30am to 12pm with brunch served 7:30 til 4:30pm.

You can expect a selection of fresh, in-house dishes including:

• BREAKFAST 7:30 to 12:00pm including Classic 1876 Breakfast, Vegan 1876 Breakfast, Bacon or Sausage Sandwich and 1876 Porrige . Yoghurt bowl, Breakfast Taco - plus a list of the usual extras.
• BRUNCH 7:30 to 4:30 inckuding American Pancakes, Waffles, French Toas and Croissants. A list of toppings.  Eggs Benedict, Scrambled Egg, Smashed Avocado, Eggs Florantine, Shakshuka Eggs. 
• LUNCH 12:-- to 4:30pm Jacket Potato with list of options, Sandwiches, wamed Flatbreads & Open Sandwiches, Salads and Poke Bowls, Teriyaki Chicken Poke Bowl, Asian Sesame Salmon Salad, Mediterranean FalaFEL & hUMMUS PLUS sIDES.
• MAIN MENU:  Monday to Friday 12:00 to 4:30pm Get any main course for £12, Two Courses £17 and Three courses for £22.   Starters include Soup of the Day, Salt & Pepper Chicken,Sweet & Sticky Pork Mini Mediterranean Falafel & Hummus Bowl.
  MAIN COURSES: Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas, 6oz Beef Burger with Fries, Chicken Valdostana, Chicken Caesar Salad, Sweet Potato & Black Bacon Tacos, Katsu Cauliflower Curry.
  DESSERTS: Gluten-free Brownie with ice cream or custard, Cheesecake of the Day, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream, Ice Cream Scoop.

Full Launch – Evenings Coming Soon

After the December settling-in period, on January 9th 2026 Imaginarium 1876 will move to its full official opening, introducing evening dining and the complete restaurant experience.

By day, the venue remains a stylish, relaxed bistro. By night, it transforms into a warm, vibrant restaurant ideal for dinners with family, celebrations with friends or an atmospheric evening out in the heart of Scunthorpe.
